I know from first hand experience just what he has to offer. These products are for the “newbies” like me and for the those that have been doing this for awhile. For those of you who have been sitting on the fence, this is the time to take advantage of this extraordinary offer. Pass the word to your friends and all of you can enjoy the benefits of John’s extensive knowledge in the world of Internet Marketing.
I have noticed that while leaving comments on other students blogs for John Thornhill’s Masterclass, that a lot of us have one thing in common. Jim Cockrum and his My Silent Team. It seems we have all taken a similar path on this journey of enlightenment. It is so worth becoming a member of Jim’s website. Where else can you get so much info from so many people in one place. This is how I found John and I have to thank Jim for that. I hope to become one of those to help people on his site one day, due to the knowledge I am learning from this course. I also look forward to getting to know more of you as we continue to work toward our goals for a successful career in Internet Marketing. In my previous entry regarding Half.com, I wrote about Ben Mannino and his ScanLister. I found Ben and his nifty gadget on Jim’s site. It just goes to show, how just one person has information you can use. Just think of all the other’s I haven’t gotten to yet! Once you do become a member, you have access to the Bonus Pool. There is so much information there alone, that it is worth the price of becoming a member. But most of you already know that since you have already been writing about Jim’s site. It seems we have that common interest!
Half.com is a wonderful place to sell your stuff, as long as you are only selling Books, Textbooks, CD’s, DVD’s, VHS tapes, Video Games and Game Systems. As long as there is a ISBN, UPC or Manufacturer Part Number for your product, then you are in business. I have had some items that did not have this, and I just entered the title of what I was selling. So far, I have not had any problems. By the way, Half.com is a subsidiary of Ebay. When you list your item (no listing fee!) and determine what condition it is in and determining your price, then you are set to go. That’s it. No having to come up with an ad or trying to think of the best title that will draw in the masses. The only fee is a small percentage of the sales price and the buyer pays a fixed shipping fee determined by Half.com. Half.com is somewhat like a flea market, a lot of merchandise in a variety of conditions. I listed 25 items one Sunday and by Monday afternoon I had sold two video games. These were old PS2 games that my son no longer played and they sold right away. Later that week a couple of books sold. Now, not everything will sell right away. There was a period of a couple of weeks were nothing sold and I kind of forgot about it. Then the next thing I know, there was an e-mail from Half.com telling me there was another sale! Then a few days later, the same thing. You just never know! I have tons more stuff to list and will get busy doing that right away. That’s going to be the key. List a lot of product. You can find items to sell everywhere. Check the thrift shops, garage sales, family and friends. There is a great device out there that will make entering your ISBN numbers real easy. It’s called the ScanLister by Ben Mannino. Basically, you scan the bar code on the item you are going to list and it will show all the correct information for that item. It saves time when you have a lot to enter. Much better than typing the codes one at a time. This is sooo easy. Check it out and see how you do!
I have just completed week six of John Thornhill’s Marketing Masterclass. John has made learning so easy. It was little tricky this week, but nothing that I couldn’t handle. The great part is that you can pause the video if you get lost or confused, which doesn’t happen often. This 36 week course is flying by. Just think, six weeks ago, I had absolutely no idea how to do any of this, but as you can see from my website that has changed. Each week new material is sent to your e-mail address, which then has a link to that week’s lesson. You can’t fall behind because the links are there for you whenever you’re ready. Another great aspect is that John builds a website right along with you so that you can actually see how everything should look at that point in time. I have to say that I really look forward each week for the next class. For me, the pace is perfect, not too fast or too slow. Anyone interested in learning the ropes for setting up your own website or ways too use that website for your own special needs, would benefit greatly from this course. Have a great day!
Well, I’ve discovered Twitter. I have spent most of the day fooling around with it instead of working on my blog. Hey, I had to try it out because it will be a source of information and, hopefully, income someday. The next thing I know, it is almost dinner time. It’s a good thing my son is old enough to feed himself now. Just kidding! I can actually see why Twitter has a lot of potential that most people are losing out on. I would have been lost on how to get going with it if it had not been for Dave Nicholson’s “Tweet Dynamite!” Twitter is a great resource that is just sitting there waiting for you to come utilize, and it is free. Internet Marketing is such a huge field that you need all the help you can get.
The short video below is Skip McGrath telling you a little bit about himself and his qualifications for how he can help you regarding eBay. This is a good place to start if you are interested about selling on eBay.
I was just going over the newest info from John Thornhill’s Masterclass, when I saw that there was an incoming e-mail from Jim Cockrum. Then there was an e-mail from Skip McGrath. Well, let me tell you, these are the people that got me started on this road. I first came across Skip on Ebay, which led me to Jim, which then led me to John. It just made me laugh to see those e-mails right then, because I probably would not be doing this right now if it were not for these guys. I just kept reading what they had to say and here I am today. They all have a lot of great information to help you figure out how to go on. I actually feel pretty comfortable with what I am doing now. There is so much misleading or bad info out there, that it is hard to determine who to trust. My newbie advice would be, don’t jump on every offer that comes in your e-mail. Head spinning is normal when information overload is in your inbox. Take the time to research what is being offered. Well, I have to get back to class now so that I can put John’s knowledge to work for me!
You want to know what makes the world go ’round? Information. Everything we do as human beings is based on information. Even as babies, we are bombarded with all kinds of information. We learn, adapt and learn some more. This is the way it is. How can anyone succeed in any endeavour without knowing how to do something? Some people can’t get enough information. There are so many sources out there. TV, print news, the internet, talk shows and reality shows (OK that might be too much). The point is, we always seem to hunger for more. The easiest place to find all types of info is on the internet. Anything from how to build chicken coops to how to succeed in internet marketing. What better place is there than the internet to reach a worldwide group of information junkies willing to spend their time and money on information you can provide? As long as what you provide is good, solid content, people will continue to come to a source they know and trust. Work with people you trust and then you will be able to pass what you learn on to others. There is a lot out there to sort through and it may take the public a little while to find you, but when they do, pass on that information, whatever it is.
You know sometimes something as ordinary as getting new shelves for three, count them, three closets would not seem that exciting. Well let me tell you it’s like Christmas in my house today. I have space to put stuff! All kinds of stuff, well some stuff just needs to leave and never come back. Just to get organized again is such a relief. This is going to take time, but it will be worth it, just like it will be worth the time spent on this blog and figuring out ways to get ahead. Ebay, Half.com and Amazon are just launching platforms for other endeavors. A whole new world that can be as exciting as new shelves. Who knows how far anyone can go just because you finally decided to get organized. Now you can concentrate on listing and selling all your stuff so you can make more room in your humble abode. While you continue this avenue, learn how to improve on it. I am really new at this phase, so I’ll be trying hard to get it right. I’m sure there will be missteps, but no one is perfect. When I make mistakes, I will turn them into positive lessons on how to get it right. Amazing how new shelves can make a difference.
My first foray into on-line auctions was with Ebay several years ago. A little here, a little there, but not really enough to stay consistent. You look around the house to see what you can live without and think, “You know, I could really make some money on some of this stuff.” Then it begins. You get all excited gathering everything together and you sit down in front of the computer and realize there is more to this than you thought. It’s not that it’s that difficult, but it does take time. Guess what? Sometimes, time, is just too much and you get tired of keeping up with it. Does that make sense? Well anyway, I have recently gotten back to Ebay and there have been changes, some good and some not so good, but there are some great people and products out there that will walk you through, step by step, and help you with everything you need to know. Just check out some of my links. I wish I had come across some of this info sooner, because I might not have waited so long to start again. This is what got me thinking about just doing more. Anything other than what I was doing. I will continue to use Ebay, which is fun when your item sells. It’s so great when you get that e-mail that says your item has sold!
